One would assume that co-stars, while acting together on a movie or television show, get on. But that is not always the case. This week we are looking at instances where co-stars famously did not get along on set.

Anyone who has seen “The Notebook” would imagine that Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling shared some of that on-screen chemistry off-screen, but they did not. Even though the couple became real life partners, they were not always buddies on set and there were many rumours off a rift while they were filming the romantic movie. It got so bad at one point that Gosling went to the director and asked that a different actress be brought in for him to practice lines with off camera.

Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel are not best friends, far from it in fact. It is well known in Hollywood that these two do not get on and have never got on despite them being in the “Fast & Furious” franchise together. Apparently, Diesel was trying to give Johnson acting advice, which he never asked for and quite frankly does not need. The row goes deeper than that though and fans don’t seem to think that it will ever get better.

Of course, Will Smith is on our list of co-star clashes. Smith is known for his bad temper (Chris Rock, Oscar’s slap) and made life difficult for his “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” co-star Janet Hubert. This resulted in a 27-year-long feud between the pair with Hubert explaining that she felt Smith had “banished” her. Smith actually admitted that he made things difficult for his co-star.
