Dubai can!
Dubai has once again proved its credentials for hosting international events of any scale.
The Expo, which started at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, was initially a cause for concern for us, but the way the Dubai Government has managed the whole event is commendable. (“Expo 2020 Dubai reaches remarkable milestone of 20m visitors,” March 19, Gulf Today.”)
Expo 2020 Dubai reached the remarkable milestone of 20 million visits on March 19 — an amazing achievement making history against all odds while bringing the world together in the UAE for the largest global gathering since the start of the pandemic.
I am still amazed to see how the whole event was managed so smoothly despite having many challenges. Dubai has fulfilled its promise of bringing the entire world under one roof. Dubai has showed they can. We feel inspired to see Dubai’s commitment. It is indeed superb.
This shows if you have a visionary leader then anything is possible. Congratulations Dubai for successfully hosting such an amazing event which will be in our memories for a very long time. We feel fortunate to have been living at a place where dreams do come true.
If you look at the figures you will be astonished. Domestic visitors have turned out in force to support Dubai Expo 2020, with almost 70 per cent of guests hailing from the UAE.
Latest figures show that child visitors under the age of 18 have crossed more than 2.8 million, with the global event inspiring the next generation of innovators and change-makers. Lots of schoolgoing students visited the Expo a number of times and this clearly shows that the Expo had something for everyone.
