Time Magazine has name President-elect Joe Biden and his running mate Ms. Harris as the “Person of the Year”.

The People of the year 2020, should definitely be the scientists and health care workers around the world. Normally vaccines take years or decades to discover and refine. In the COVID-19 case, scientists have generated options, within a span of about nine months. This is a giant leap forward for mankind. The world had stopped. Now, it could work again. Hopefully, some of the vaccines will deliver. So, the scientists deserve our applause.

The doctors, nurses, ward boys and girls, risked their own lives and those of their families, to save the lives and families of others, whom they did not even know. These health care workers are the salt of the earth. They may even have saved mankind from extinction, through their selflessness. We should salute them and offer a standing ovation.
