What to wear

winter-clothes

As seasons change and the country cools down for the winter, it can be difficult to resist the urge to splurge on a new wardrobe. There’s no need though and this week we are going to be showing you how to work with the clothes you already have to create new looks for the winter months.

A simple scarf can do wonders on chilly evenings. We suggest using a nice scarf to wrap around yourself instead of a jacket because let’s face it, it’s not that cold. A scarf can be dressed up or down with a little black dress or jeans and a t-shirt.

While a polo neck jumper is not for everyone, it does make a pretty good wardrobe staple. They are warm, smart, casual and cosy and can be pulled out for any occasion. British designer JW Anderson’s Fall/Winter 2019 collection featured grey and white polo neck jumpers with feathered skirts and leather sandals.

What fashion list would be complete without a pair of jeans on it? This time it is the high-waisted kind that we are turning our attention to. While these can be worn at any time of the year, they look particularly good in the winter with a thick, long cardigan.

In other non-fashion news this week, turn to our Home pages to read about Malleh Gourmet. Nazek Al Sabbagh started selling malleh, a traditional Emirati fish product, after retiring from her civil engineering job.
