While the way we listen to music has drastically changed over the last decade, no one can deny they quality of music that has come out. This week we take a look at some of the most stand-out albums of the last 10 years by a variety of different artists.

Back in 2012, Taylor Swift released her fourth studio album, Red. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard charts as critics claimed it was her transition from country to pop music. They were also very impressed with her song-writing abilities. The album was nominated for a variety of awards including Album of the Year and Best Country Album at the Grammy awards.

Frank Ocean’s second album Blond came out in 2016 to the delight of his adoring fans. He has a voice that would turn any ear and audiences weren’t disappointed with the material on the album which included guest vocals from the likes of Beyonce, Yung Lean, Andre 3000 and many more. Interestingly, it was initially supposed to be called Boys Don’t Cry. The lead single Nikes went to number one in many countries.

No one can deny the power of Adele and her album 21 which came out in 2011. Named after her age at the time, the album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart. Several singles from the album also made it to the number one spot. Adele’s ability to pull in audiences with her sad lyrics and soulful sound lead her to sell millions of albums worldwide.
