Who doesn’t love Netflix? There’s nothing more comforting at the end of a long day than curling up on the sofa and watching a few episodes of a great television show. This week we are looking at some of the best shows available to watch right now.

Any movie or series with Emma Stone in it has got to be good. The Academy Award and Golden Globe winning actress stars in the dark comedy Maniac alongside Jonah Hill. The show premiered back in 2018 and tells the story of two strangers who participate in a drugs trial. Audiences and critics love the dark twists and turns of the show which plays out over 10 episodes.

If Maniac sounds a bit too dark for you then why not give The Crown a try. Created and written by the dramatist Peter Morgan, the show traces the rule of Elizabeth II played by Claire Foy. There are already two seasons out, the third will be released next month and the fourth will be filmed soon.

Linda Cardellini and Christina Applegate team up to play two grieving women who bond during therapy in Dead to Me. Fear not the title, this isn’t as dark as it sounds. Having enjoyed this show myself, I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something easy to watch over the weekend. Apparently a second season is already in the works.
