AD Mobility regulates vehicle washing in public parking lots and residential villa areas

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), known as Abu Dhabi Mobility, under the Department of Municipalities and Transport, has introduced regulations for vehicle washing in public parking areas and residential villa zones under the Mawaqif system.

This effort aims to regulate public parking usage, curb unauthorised practices, preserve the urban aesthetic, and ensure vehicle washing services are confined to designated and sanctioned locations.

The Centre has clarified that washing vehicles in public parking areas under the Mawaqif system is prohibited. However, companies can offer this service in approved areas as long as they secure a permit from the Centre and adhere to all established requirements and procedures.

In collaboration with Q-Mobility and relevant authorities, the Centre continues to conduct monitoring and inspection activities to identify violations and take necessary action against offenders.

Vehicle owners are urged to refrain from using unlicensed workers for washing their vehicles, engage with licensed companies, and use services available at authorised locations.
