The young boy is battling bone cancer that has spread to his lungs and brain, and his family's financial difficulties previously hindered their ability to secure essential treatment for him, making his suffering and cries all the more heartrending.

The Society has renewed hope for the boy's mother, who had lost faith in ever being able to ease her son's pain or give him a fighting chance against the disease.
