The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) confirmed its keenness to protect workers' rights and ensure rapid response in the event of a work injury or suspected occupational disease, adding that it has established a clear mechanism for reporting and dealing with injuries, ensuring the application of approved procedures in accordance with applicable legislation.
The Ministry pointed out that in the event of a work injury or suspected occupational disease, the employer or his legal representative is required to notify the competent medical authority, notify the relevant police station according to the geographical area, notify the ministry through the designated channels within no more than 48 hours, and bear the costs of medical care for the worker in accordance with the applicable legislation in the country.
