UAE residents can now complete residency renewal medical test at home

The Emirates Health Services (EHS) announced the launch of a new service called "Residency Renewal from Home", which allows residents in the UAE to be medically tested for the residency renewal at home, through a specialised medical team that goes to the customer's home at the scheduled time.

This step comes within the UAE's direction to develop government services and provide them in more flexible and convenient ways for customers. The service aims to facilitate residency renewal procedures, especially for those who prefer to complete their transactions from home or face difficulty in movement or time constraints.

The customer can easily book an appointment for the medical team to visit them at home and conduct the test according to approved medical standards.

EHS clarified through its digital platforms that booking an appointment for the service is done in advance by calling 800887, where an employee coordinates the appropriate appointment according to the customer's daily schedule.

After that, a specialised medical team from Weqayati centres goes to the customer's home to conduct the medical test accurately and safely.

The service includes performing the medical test required for residency renewal according to approved health procedures, while adhering to the highest quality and safety standards during the test, ensuring the reliability of the results and maintaining the safety of customers at the same time.

The customer receives the test result via text message or email, to complete the residency renewal procedures easily through the approved official channels.

The EHS noted that the service is currently available for residency renewal applications only.
