Take advantage of early fine payment initiative via Tamm, Abu Dhabi motorists urged

Abu Dhabi Police called on drivers to take advantage of the facilities, discounts and services associated with early payment of traffic fines through the Tamm app, as part of their strategic priorities aimed at making the society happy and enhancing the proactivity and quality of services provided to the public.

The Traffic and Patrols Directorate stated that the ‘Pay Early, Gain Surely’ initiative aims at making things easier for drivers and encouraging vehicle owners to pay traffic fines in installments over a full year.

It also aims at raising public awareness of the advantages, privileges and facilities of early payment, most notably avoiding an increase in the value of traffic fines, it added.

The directorate pointed out that the initiative includes a 35 per cent discount on the fine if paid within the first 60 days of the date it was committed, with the exception of serious violations, and a 25 per cent discount when paid after 60 days and up to one year from the date the fine was issued.

The initiative also allows fines to be paid in installments through banks without interest, which contributes to reducing the financial burdens on drivers and enhancing compliance with traffic laws, it said.
