Aligned with the United Arab Emirates leadership’s initiative to designate 2026 as the ‘Year of the Family’, the Ministry of Justice, in collaboration with the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, and Customs and Ports Security (ICP), introduced the ‘Emirati Family Data’ package.
The introduction of the joint package strengthens the foundations of integration and digital connectivity among entities. It helps streamline processes and quicken transaction completions, thereby enhancing the stability of Emirati families and elevating their quality of life.
This is made possible through the updating of family data via seamless data linking and exchange, eliminating the necessity for visits to service centres.
Mubarak Ali Al Neyadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, mentioned that introducing the ‘Emirati Family Data’ package aligns with the UAE government’s ‘Zero Bureaucracy’ initiative. This initiative underscores the government’s dedication to fostering collaboration and digital integration across federal entities, while enhancing proactive and cooperative services aimed at simplifying procedures concerning Emirati family matters.
Al Neyadi highlighted that the package facilitates the implementation of the one-time data request principle, improving both the efficiency and quality of judicial and legal services.
He emphasised that it offers a practical approach to realising the zero bureaucracy initiative, aligning with the wise leadership’s vision of delivering streamlined government services that ease customer processes and promote family stability.
Major General Suhail Juma Al Khaili, Acting Director General of ICP, stated that the launch of the package demonstrates the Authority’s commitment to providing proactive, integrated government services based on smart data linkage.
This will reduce the time and effort required by customers and improve the efficiency and quality of services.
He stressed that the package embodies a cutting-edge approach to innovative government services, prioritising the customer in service design and fostering greater institutional integration among government entities. This initiative plays a key role in enhancing the quality of life and boosting customer satisfaction.
Al Khaili explained that the package enables the proactive updating of marriage and divorce records, as well as family data, through a fully integrated digital process.
This process is based on data exchange between government entities and eliminates the need for separate requests or visits to service centres.
