Sewa upgrades road lighting network across Sharjah

Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (Sewa) has completed the installation and operation of 3,650 road lighting posts, carried out 32,432 road lighting maintenance operations, and extended the lighting network by 146,258 metres in the city of Sharjah, from the beginning of 2025 until the end of October 2025.

Engineer Ahmed Al Bass, Deputy Director of Electricity Distribution Department, confirmed that the lighting projects implemented by Sewa in various areas of Sharjah are carried out in accordance with the best specifications and standards, as the lighting network is designed to suit secondary, main and express roads, whether in terms of the distances between the posts, their height or the number of spotlights to be installed on the posts.
