Dubai warns against sharing work or payment details online

The Dubai Municipality has warned that sharing work-related information or payment details via unofficial channels could pose a security risk and threaten digital privacy.

It urged the public not to share work-related messages or correspondence via email or social media, as these may contain confidential information that could be exploited. It also advised against posting or sending images of invoices or QR codes without first verifying their official source. Furthermore, it cautioned against publishing transaction numbers or receipts for Dubai Municipality services, in order to prevent them being used in fraudulent activities.

The municipality added, "Protect your data and be aware of everything you share online."
