The population of the UAE increased by 5.7 per cent in 2024, with 615,687 people.
According to data from the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre (FCSC), the country's population reached approximately 11.3 million people by the end of 2024, compared to 10.7 million people at the beginning of the year.
According to the data, the number of males in the UAE at the end of last year was 7,235,074 (7.23 million), representing 64 per cent of the country's total population. The number of females was 4,059,169 (4.06 million), representing 36 per cent, according to the FCSC.
The male population of the country increased by 5.7 per cent with 392,074 people in 2024 compared to the number of male population of 2023 in which it reached 6.843 million in total.
Meanwhile, the female population in 2024 increased by 5.8% with 223,518 people compared to 2023 in which the number of females in the country reached 3.835 million.
Since the beginning of the third millennium, specifically since 2000, the UAE's population has more than doubled, growing from 3.17 million.
The male population has grown by 125 per cent, from 2.25 million in 2000.
The female population has also grown three and a half times, from 919,500 in 2000.
