Traffic patrols of Dubai Police arrested a young man driving a motorcycle recklessly and without registration plates in Al Khawaneej, endangering his life and the lives of others in the area.
Brigadier Juma Salem Bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, explained that while traffic patrols were performing their duties in Al Khawaneej on Sunday evening, they spotted a motorcycle on the Quranic Park walkway, which was being driven by a young man in a dangerous and stunt-like manner on a single wheel.
The patrols, according to Bin Suwaidan pursued him for approximately an hour until he stopped inside a garage complex.
After inspecting the motorcycle, it was found to be wanted by traffic authorities due to accumulated fines and an expired registration, so it was impounded, and the driver was referred to the competent police station for further legal interrogations.
An official report was prepared in accordance with standard procedures. Bin Suwaidan warned against driving vehicles or motorcycles without a valid licence or driving recklessly on roads in a way which endangers the driver’s life, the lives of others, or public safety and security.
He called on community members to cooperate with Dubai Police by reporting any negative behaviours or reckless actions through the "Police Eye" service on Dubai Police smart app or via "We Are All Police" service on the number 901.
He emphasised that community awareness and active participation are essential partners in maintaining traffic safety and security.
