Heavy and light rain fell on Friday over Kalba, Khorfakkan, and the Dubai-Al Ain road near Al-Hayer, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). The NCM expects rains to continue in some inland areas until Monday, advising motorists to follow safety precautions while driving, exercise caution on the roads, and keep vehicle headlights on during low visibility conditions.
The NCM also urged everyone to follow its official bulletins and reports, avoid spreading rumours, and minimise direct exposure to dust and suspended particles.
The NCM predicts Saturday’s weather to be partly cloudy and occasionally dusty, with a chance of convective cloud formation in the east, extending to some inland areas and accompanied by rainfall. Night and early Sunday morning are expected to be humid in some western areas, with a possibility of light fog formation. Winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, and occasionally strong with clouds, stirring dust and reducing horizontal visibility, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h, amounting to 50 km/h and the sea will be calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. Sunday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy and occasionally dusty, with a chance of convective cloud formation in the east and south, accompanied by rainfall.
Night and early Monday morning will be humid in some western areas.
Winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, and occasionally strong with clouds, stirring dust and reducing visibility, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h, amounting to 45 km/h and the sea will be calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. Monday’s weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy at times, with a chance of convective cloud formation in the east and south, possibly accompanied by rainfall, while winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, and occasionally active during the day and stirring dust, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h, amounting to 40 km/h and the sea will be calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Tuesday’s weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy at times, with cloud formation in the east and south, possibly convective in the afternoon. Winds will be southeasterly, turning northwesterly, light to moderate, and occasionally active and stirring dust during the day, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h, amounting to 40 km/h and the sea will be calm to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and calm in the Sea of Oman.
