The Dubai Courts has announced the closure of the Notary Public branch situated within the Al Barsha Traffic Department, with effect from 1 July 2025.
All of its services will be transferred to private notary offices across the Emirate of Dubai, as well as to the Dubai Courts website and comprehensive government service centres (Al Adheed).
The scope of these services encompasses the issuance of notary notices, the authentication of powers of attorney, contracts, meeting minutes, and declarations, in addition to the authentication of church contracts and non-Muslim wills.
Dubai Courts has also announced its intention to convert the Wafi Mall branch into a private notary centre, with the suspension of personal status attestation services at the branch scheduled to take effect on July 1.
The court has stated that the centre will provide services that are equivalent to those of private notary public offices.
Mohammed Al Obaidli, the head of the Litigation Management Sector at Dubai Courts, said that this step is part of Dubai Courts' plan to improve service quality, keep up with global best practices, and make sure services can be delivered efficiently across different channels.
He said that the new centre and other ways to contact the company will provide all of these services, which will make the company work better and help customers more quickly and flexibly.
Dubai Courts advises customers to access the website or contact the unified call centre in order to locate the nearest private notary public office, reserve appointments, and avail themselves of the digital services that are available.
