As of Thursday (June 26, 2025), flydubai will recommence the operation of flights to the Syrian capital, Damascus.
Flights to Damascus will operate on a daily basis from Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport.
This step is concurrent with the reopening of the region's airspace and the lifting of restrictions. Flydubai has announced its intention to resume its full schedule across its network from July 1, subject to all necessary assessments.
As the situation evolves, the carrier continuously reviews its flight plans across its network, operating within approved international air corridors, and adjusting its schedule as necessary.
In his commentary on the resumption of operations, Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, stated: "We are continuing to closely monitor the situation and adjust our flight schedule accordingly. The ability to demonstrate resilience and preparedness has enabled the organisation to adapt quickly during these times, while adhering to the highest operational standards and always prioritising the safety of its crew and passengers."
The company has expressed its delight at the resumption of its operations and anticipates the restoration of its services in the remaining affected markets in the near future.
The airline recommended that customers update their contact information by accessing their booking management and checking their flight status on the website.
