Al Dhafra Region Municipality warns residents of dust-stirring winds

Al Dhafra Region Municipality has urged motorists to take caution while driving on the roads as some areas are affected by active and dust-stirring winds, stressing the importance of calling the hotline 993 in the event of sand accumulation or any other emergency.

The municipality stressed the need to abide by safety measures during dust storms by abiding by safety rules while driving, avoiding direct exposure to dust, checking weather forecasts to take the necessary precautions and ensuring that windows and doors are closed to prevent dust from entering.

It also underlined the importance of suspending all lifting operations using tower cranes, mobile cranes and suspended platforms, ensuring that scaffolding is secured according to approved specifications and alerting all workers and employees of the necessary measures to be taken and the need to take caution.
