In light of the recent developments concerning the closure of several air corridors, flydubai has announced the temporary suspension of its flights to and from a number of countries and airports. This precautionary measure is being implemented with a view to ensuring the safety of passengers and operational processes.
The company has issued a statement indicating that flights to Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria have been suspended until June 16.
Flights to Minsk and St. Petersburg have been suspended until June 17, and to Iran, Iraq, and Israel until June 20.
flydubai has confirmed that passengers travelling through Dubai to a country that has been suspended will not be allowed to fly from their point of departure until further notice.
The airline asked passengers affected by these cancellations to check their rebooking options via the booking management page on its website, or to contact their travel agent. It said that they need to update their contact information so that they can get notifications and updates on time.
It also urged passengers leaving or arriving at Dubai International Airport (DXB) to check their flight status on the website for the latest updates, noting that some other flights may be delayed or rerouted.
Flydubai is keeping an eye on the situation and is sorry if these temporary steps cause any problems. It said that keeping passengers and crew safe and making sure the flights are on time are its top priorities.
