Sheikh Mohammed honours winners of Global Water Award, highlights 12 innovations

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, honoured the winners of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Global Water Award, supervised by the UAE Water Aid Foundation (Suqia), on Tuesday.

Sheikh Mohammed said on X, “We honoured the winners of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Global Water Award, supervised by the UAE Water Aid Foundation (Suqia).

“Our goal in launching this award is to stimulate and encourage innovation to address the problems of water scarcity and pollution in underprivileged communities.

“Today, in its fourth edition, we celebrate 12 real innovations that help provide safe, clean water at low cost.

“We congratulate the winners and invite all institutions involved in this sector to benefit from their innovations.

“We also congratulate the UAE Water Aid team, part of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, for their success in organising this award and implementing more than 1,000 sustainable water projects in 37 countries around the world, benefiting 15 million people.”
