The General Department of Criminal Investigation (CID) at Dubai Police signed a series of strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) during the World Police Summit 2025.
The agreements, signed with partners across both public and private sectors, reflect Dubai Police’s commitment to advancing collaboration in technical innovation, community awareness, and security partnerships.
Among the MoUs signed:
*Mastercard – focused on joint initiatives to promote security awareness and public education related to economic crimes.
*Wego Middle East – for cooperation in the tourism and travel sector.
*VITRONIC – in the field of advanced technology and security systems.
*Dubai’s Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) – for collaboration on virtual asset security and regulation.
*Dubai Healthcare – for raising digital awareness in the healthcare sector.
*The Prince and Princess of Wales Royal Foundation – addressing wildlife trafficking and financial crimes linked to illegal wildlife trade.
*MVP Technologies – focused on technical solutions to support law enforcement innovation.
*Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation – for workshops and public awareness campaigns.
*The British University in Dubai (BUiD) – in the areas of training and public awareness.
These agreements underscore Dubai Police’s ongoing efforts to build robust partnerships that enhance security services, promote digital awareness, and strengthen crime prevention strategies.
The initiative also reflects Dubai Police’s vision of fostering a proactive, collaborative security model that brings together government, academia, and the private sector to create innovative and impactful policing solutions.
Earlier, Dubai Police, represented by the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology, signed eight specialised Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading global and local technology companies and academic institutions.
The agreements aim to enhance collaboration in forensic science, criminal research, artificial intelligence applications, and scientific innovation.
The MoUs were signed during the World Police Summit 2025, held under the theme “Beyond the Badge: Envision the Next Era of Policing.”
