The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai has announced the suspension of school inspection and evaluation activities in private schools across Dubai for the 2025-2026 academic year.
This decision is part of the authority’s ongoing efforts to enhance and support the quality of education in the emirate.
The decision applies to all private schools, except for new schools which have completed their third year of operation, which will undergo full school inspections for the first time.
The KHDA stated that it will continue to monitor school performance through targeted visits focusing on specific aspects related to educational quality and continuous improvement.
These visits will be determined based on the priorities of the Education Strategy and feedback from the school community.
The KHDA also emphasised the importance of schools continuing to conduct regular external benchmark assessments to ensure students’ academic progress, in addition to submitting periodic updates through self-evaluation models.
