To reinforce Dubai Police’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, the Tourist Police Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation has officially added the fully electric Lotus Emeya-S to its luxury patrol fleet.
The unveiling took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre during the World Police Summit.
The new patrol was officially unveiled by His Excellency Expert Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs at Dubai Police, in the presence of HE Major General Dr. Adel Al Suwaidi, Director of Jebel Ali Police Station; HE Major General Muhammad Al Adhab, Director of the Mounted Police Station; Brigadier Harib Al Shamsi, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation; Brigadier Khalfan Al Jallaf, Director of the Tourist Police Department; Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abdulrahman, Deputy Director; and Lieutenant Colonel Mousa Mubarak Abdullah, Head of Security Patrols, along with senior officers and Mr. Ramzi Al Atat, Regional Marketing and PR Director at Lotus.
An Eco-Luxury Performance Marvel
Major General Al Mansouri was briefed on the vehicle’s specifications: a fully electric luxury car that can travel up to 600 kilometres on a single charge, reach a top speed of 250 km/h, deliver 603 horsepower, and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds. The Lotus Emeya-S also boasts a futuristic design, advanced entertainment systems, autonomous driving features, and state-of-the-art digital displays.
He praised the partnership with Lotus, emphasising that incorporating electric luxury vehicles aligns with Dubai Police’s strategy to enhance patrol presence in high-profile tourist destinations such as Burj Khalifa, Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, and JBR, while upgrading the overall patrol fleet with the latest technologies.
“These vehicles not only elevate the image of Dubai Police but also enable officers to engage with residents and tourists by offering information, guidance, and promoting the community role of the force,” said Al Mansouri.
Commitment to Sustainability
Mr. Ramzi Al Atat expressed pride in continuing the partnership with Dubai Police following the earlier addition of the Lotus Eletre R to the patrol fleet. “We’re delighted to collaborate once again with Dubai Police’s Tourist Patrol, reflecting our shared commitment to sustainability and innovation. Using environmentally friendly vehicles in public service demonstrates the force’s forward-thinking approach.”
The ceremony concluded with Dubai Police presenting a commemorative plaque to Mr. Al Atat and a group photo to mark the occasion.
