The verdict issued by the Court of First Instance, and it has been upheld by the Dubai Court of Appeal.

In January of last year, in Fareej Al Marr area of Dubai, an Asian man witnessed a woman falling from a second-floor apartment window.

While walking near his residence, he noticed several passersby rushing to the scene under the same building. Unfortunately, the victim sustained injuries from the fall.

The authorities were promptly notified, and medical assistance was summoned. Regrettably, the victim did not survive her injuries and passed away at the location, the Court heard.

According to a police officer, evidence was collected from the scene where the victim and another woman were locked-up inside the kitchen of an apartment run by the accused as a brothel, where they subjected to immoral acts. It was reported that the victim attempted to escape as she did not wish to engage in such acts.

During the investigations, the second victim reported that she had entered the country on a visa to work as a maid for a family. After eight months, she absconded her sponsor when a woman offered her of a job opportunity with a higher salary. The woman took her to the location of the incident, where she arrived on the same day.

The apartment had five women engaged in massage and indecent work. According to reports, those women were detained by the defendants in the apartment's kitchen after they refused to work. Regrettably, one of the workers attempted to escape by tying clothes and curtains together to climb down to the street, but unfortunately fell.

The two defendants admitted their crime of running an apartment for indecent acts and detaining the victim in order to pressure her to work for them. Consequently, and the court convicted them and sentenced them to the aforementioned judgment.
