On Monday, various regions of the country experienced rain of varying intensity due to a weather situation that had been ongoing for the past two days.

The country is currently affected by a shallow air depression from the southwest, with a low extension in the upper air layers, accompanied by an air current from the west and clouds flowing from the west at intervals, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported.

Over the past couple of days, light to moderate rain fell in some areas, particularly the northern, eastern, and coastal regions, with a decrease in temperatures, the NCM added.

The temperature in the UAE on Monday dropped to 8.3°C at Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah at 6:45 am, and 10.4°C at Jabal Al Rahba at 6:00 am, the NCM added.

It also advises motorists to exercise caution while driving during rainfall and avoid areas where water collects and valleys flow.

The Abu Dhabi Police also call on road users to be careful and follow the variable speed limits displayed on electronic signage and signboards.
