Sheikh Mohammed welcomes 70,000 guests from 198 countries at COP28 summit in Dubai

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, welcomed the participants in the COP28 at Expo City Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid said on the “X” platform: “We welcome in the UAE more than 70,000 guests from 198 countries... heads of state, government leaders, ministers, officials of companies and international organizations, academics and media professionals who have arrived in our country to discuss one issue... which is preserving our planet for future generations.”

Sheikh Mohammed added, “The mission is great... and the challenges are great... but history teaches us that the meeting of people, their cooperation, and the unification of their efforts was and still is the greatest secret to the prosperity of their civilizations and their continued progress...

“All the best to everyone in this humanitarian mission, and we renew our confidence in our national team by hosting and organizing this exceptional international event in the UAE.”
