Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Cases Court obligated a taxi driver to pay a company Dhs5,787, as he was working for it and borrowed an amount of money that he did not repay. He also committed traffic violations and accidents, which he did not pay as well.

The details date back to an earlier time when a company filed a lawsuit against a driver who was working for it, requesting that he be obligated to pay it an amount of Dhs5,827, as well as obligating him to pay the fees and expenses of the lawsuit and the lawyer’s fees.

The company explained that the appellee worked for it as a taxi driver and had borrowed an amount of money of which he did not pay Dhs962.

He had also committed several traffic violations which amounted to Dhs4,975 and when the company asked him to pay the amount, he refused.

The court explained that what was proved from the declaration signed by the appellee was that he borrowed Dhs5,407, of which he did not pay Dhs962, adding that it was also proved from the traffic violations report issued by the police that he committed several traffic violations totaling Dhs4,825, and accordingly the court obligated him to pay the company Dhs5,787.
