The accident occurred a few days ago on a Volaris plane that was scheduled to fly from Guadalajara to Mexico City.
Dramatic footage captured by passenger Elizabeth Esmeralda Minjarez shows flight attendants waving their arms and spraying insect repellent on mosquitoes.
It is not yet clear how mosquitoes infiltrated the plane, but this is not the first time they have infiltrated a flight at Guadalajara International Airport.
Local media indicate that the area where the airport is located is full of polluted bodies of water, and mosquitoes may have invaded the plane from there.
