Social media users have shared a breathtaking video of the rescue of a child stuck in a burning apartment due to an iron grille on the balcony in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province, China.
The child appears in the video unable to get out because of the iron grille fencing the balcony while the apartment is on fire and thick columns of smoke rising from it.
Hearing the child's cries, several people tried to save him by using metal tools such as hedge cutters while continuing to extinguish the fire.
They were able to cut through the grille and pull the child out to safety.
Local media reported that the child, who was trapped in the balcony, was rescued thanks to the brave efforts of passersby, as the men heroically rescued the child and kept him away from the flames."
