People in the UAE, on Saturday, July 15, celebrated the birthday of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The leader who established a unique school in leadership, and made a global model in planning, building, and sustaining the renaissance. He presents a life story full of giving and achievements, and a source of intellectual inspiration that achieved leadership and beat off the impossible, following the eternal heritage of the founding fathers, who instilled in the people of the UAE a spirit of ambition, achievement and dedication.

Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, son Sheikh Mohammed shared a loving video tribute on his father’s birthday on Instagram.

The video highlights the milestone in the life of the Dubai Ruler and the developing of Emirate to become the best city in the world.

Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi shared a picture of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, book cover aboard the International Space Station on the Dubai Ruler’s birthday.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed is the third son of Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum. He was born on July 15, 1949. He grew up in Al Maktoum family ruling Dubai, in their home in Al Shindagha.

In his childhood, he learned the hunting arts and the sport of falconry, as well as the basic skills of equestrian from his father. He received the principles of the Arabic language and the teachings of the Islamic religion, and enrolled in primary education in Dubai. He completed his higher education in London. Then he attended the British "Mons Military" College in Aldershot.

On September 9, 1958, his grandfather, Sheikh Saeed, passed away.

His father, Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed, became ruler of the Emirate of Dubai. At that time, Sheikh Rashid started serious preparations to prepare his sons with the necessary skills to take charge of the government in the future.

After the death of his father, Sheikh Rashid, his older brother, Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid, became the ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, and then issued an Emiri decree appointing His Highness Sheikh Mohammed as Crown Prince of the Emirate of Dubai.

On January 4, 2006, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed became the ruler of Dubai, following the death of Sheikh Maktoum. Later, the Supreme Council Members of the UAE selected him as a Vice President of the UAE, and then was nominated by the late Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as the Prime Minister, and the Supreme Council approved it.
