Dubai International Airport is expected to witness a significant increase in the number of passengers through all terminals during the coming weeks, coinciding with the blessed Eid Al-Adha holidays, which lasts for six days and begins next week.

According to Dubai Airports, the airport is expected to receive about 3.5 million passengers during the period from June 20 to July 3, with an average daily traffic of 252,000 passengers.

It is expected that the increase in the number of departures will reach more than a quarter of a million passengers during the period from June 23 to June 25, including 100,000 passengers on Saturday, corresponding to June 24 alone.

The busiest day of July is expected to coincide with the end of the Eid Al-Adha holiday, when total daily traffic is expected to exceed 305,000 passengers.

Issa Al Shamsi, Senior Vice President for Terminal Operations at Dubai Airports, said: “The recovery phase that Dubai International Airport witnessed during the past year achieved its climax this year, as evidenced by the positive indicators that were achieved during the first quarter of this year.

Therefore, it is expected that we will witness more crowded seasonal peaks during this year compared to its counterparts since 2019.”

Al Shamsi added: Accordingly, we at Dubai airports confirm our full readiness and take all necessary measures to accommodate passenger traffic through the airport during the upcoming peak periods, and we are fully confident in the readiness of all work teams at the airport, including the passenger terminals, and control operations, including our partner Dubai Police General Command, hospitality services, airlines, ground handling tasks at the airport, baggage procedures, parking services, as well as commercial and service partners, and their high efficiency to provide a pioneering travel experience for all travellers through the airport, and to maintain the highest standards of services provided to them at the airport.”
