A mother in Dubai locked the car without realizing that her 3-year-old toddler was inside it.

The Dubai search and rescue teams freed the trapped child, according to Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Bishoh, head of the Land Rescue Department, in the General Department of Transport and Rescue in Dubai Police.

Bishoh said that the command and control centre received a report of the incident, and the search and rescue teams immediately rushed to the scene, where they used the latest hydraulic equipment to open the car door within seconds, without the child being harmed.

Bishoh confirmed that the rescue teams succeeded in rescuing 102 children, 38 of whom were trapped inside cars, and 62 inside homes or elevators, since the beginning of 2023.

He called on parents and drivers not to leave children in their cars alone due to the danger that may threaten their lives, by suffocation, as a result of high temperatures or lack of oxygen.

Bishoh urged families not to leave their cars unlocked in front of their homes or in public places, and to monitor their children, especially when using elevators, in order to prevent accidents or endanger their lives.
