UAE President and Israeli Prime Minister discuss bilateral relations

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a phone call from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday.

The leaders discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them to serve common interests.

The President of the UAE affirmed the UAE's keenness on bilateral relations, describing the relationship with Israel as a strategic choice in favor of peace and development, which we seek for the entire region.

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed also affirmed the UAE's aspiration to redouble efforts in this promising relationship.

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed indicated that the "Abrahamic Accord" provided the appropriate framework for the development of bilateral relations. He said that the UAE is continuing joint work to enhance bilateral cooperation in all fields.

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed also praised the entry into force of the comprehensive economic partnership between the two countries on the first of April 2023, the joint work on the climate file, and the success of the convening of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) in the UAE this year, indicating that these efforts are only practical examples of what is being achieved through this growing relationship.

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed affirmed that the UAE will work with Israel, its Arab brothers and all international partners to avoid regional escalation and support the path of peace and stability, and that the UAE will support all benevolent efforts in this direction.
