Dubai Civil Defence controls fire in 14-storey residential tower

The Dubai Civil Defence brought a fire that broke out in a 14-storey residential tower in the Al Nahda area under control. No casualties were reported, official sources confirmed.

The operations room of the Dubai Civil Defence received a report at 2:46 pm on Saturday, stating that a fire erupted in “Ahli House” residential tower in the Al Nahda area.

Al Qusais Fire Station immediately dispatched a firefighting squad, which reached the location in just five minutes. It was found that the fire was medium in a 14-storey building, so the squad was reinforced by teams  from Al Rashidiya and Port Said stations. At 3:51 pm, the accident commander confirmed that the accident was under control and at 4:23 pm it was reported that the cooling process was on with no injuries.

Recently, teams from Dubai Civil Defence brought under control a fire that broke out in part of the Dragon Mart’s façade. No fatalities were reported.
