Students at a school in Jharkhand, angry over the results of the Class 9 practical exam, allegedly attacked a teacher and two school staff.

The 9th grade students at Gopikandar Pahadiya Awasiya School in Dumka tied a schoolteacher and two administrators to a mango tree on the school campus and beat them, because they failed in mathematics.

The students claimed that the principal failed them.

It is common to hear about teachers beating students in India, but this time the students did this and filmed a video that spread on social media.

The police said, "11 students out of 32 in the class failed in the subject.

It has been learnt that 11 failed in the practical examination.

According to the police, the school administration did not file a complaint against the students for their actions.

According to local media, senior officials and police went to the school and brought the situation under control.

The accused students have been expelled.
