Dressed in a white dress and wrapped in a Ukrainian flag, six-year-old Solomiia Reut performed the song "Stefania" by the Ukrainian group Kalush Orchestra on a promenade in the Dnieper.

The girl collected money in this way to support her country in the fight against the Russian invasion.

The recording of the girl's performance was published on social media.

The video shows one of the passersby dropping a donation into a box next to Solomiia.

The girl's mother, Ksenya Reut, told the media that the money her daughter had collected would be donated to, among other things, first aid equipment, bulletproof vests, drones, blankets, stretchers and medicines.

According to local media, the six-year-old girl raised Hr 5,000 ($165) for the Ukrainian military.

Solomiia from Dnipro so far raised half the sum needed to buy one bulletproof vest, and her mother Ksenya fundraised the other half on social media.

The Kalush Orchestra with the song "Stefania" won the 66th Eurovision Song Contest in Turin in May, ahead of Great Britain and Spain.

The Ukrainians scored a total of 631 points and won thanks to the audience vote.

The song is an ode to the mother of Oleh Psijuk — the group's leader.

After Russia's invasion of Ukraine on February 24, "Stefania" has become the favorite song of mothers whose children have to fight the invaders.
