In another awkward video clip, US President Joe Biden looked a little lost during a visit to one of the factories in Ohio, and could be heard asking his deputies, “Where am I heading?"

The US president travelled to the industrial Midwest on Friday to announce that five major US manufacturers have made commitments to boost their reliance on small and medium American firms for 3D printing.

In one of the factories in Ohio, with a room full of people Biden could be heard asking in a short clip, “Where am I heading?”

A deputy could be heard saying “a group photo,” gesturing towards the direction as where to pose for.

It is not the first time Biden has slipped. An Easter Bunny at the White House directed him.  

He once called the Mexican first lady a president, and once heard saying that the tobacco industry should not be “immune to prostitution.”

To do a fact-check, the shaking hands with thin air was a gesture to the staff and officers. Many media outlets sensationalised the part.

On the business front, the White House said GE Aviation, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and Siemens Energy have agreed to take part in the programme, which Biden is highlighting with a visit to United Performance Metals in Hamilton, Ohio.

The president toured the factory with executives, making bold predictions about the future of US industry that could be made possible through greater use of cutting edge equipment and domestic manufacturers.

"It's going to revolutionise the whole world,” Biden promised.
