10 diesel trucks and trailers gutted in Ajman fire

The Ajman Civil Defence teams, in cooperation with the Ajman Police, managed to put out a severe fire that broke out at dawn on Thursday in vehicles belonging to two diesel companies in Al Jurf Industrial Area 2 in Ajman.

The fire resulted in destroying 10 diesel trucks and trailers, without causing any human casualties.

Colonel Raed Obaid Al Zaabi, Director General of Ajman Civil Defence, said that the firefighting teams from the administration center and Al Jarf center dealt with the situation in cooperation with the Ajman Police, and were able to control the fire and prevent its spread in the neighbouring areas, while being able to protect those present from any injuries.

Al-Zaabi added that the accident occurred past midnight, and the teams made great efforts to control the fire completely within only an hour, then the cooling process was completed, investigations are underway to determine the causes of the fire.

He called on the owners of the facilities to adhere to the conditions of fire prevention, and to take all fire safety measures in order to preserve the safety of lives and property.
