The Department of Planning and Development - Trakhees, affiliated to the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC), announced its success in promoting the government services through the electronic linkage with the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA), represented by the system of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai.

Engineer Abdullah Belhoul, CEO of the Department of Planning and Development (Trakhees), welcomed the cooperation and coordination between the two parties, explaining that the linkage included services related to issuing new residencies, renewing and canceling residencies, and issuing entry and exit permits.

Belhoul also stressed that the electronic linkage will contribute to supporting the exchange of information and data between the two systems in an accurate and efficient way, which will contribute to improving the quality of services and the speed of completing transactions, which supports the goals of the digital government in making Dubai a global digital capital.

Regarding the advantages, Belhoul said that electronic linkage plays in integration and tight coordination, and the provision of smart and advanced channels to provide an integrated system of various services, in addition to reducing operational expenses represented in printing papers.

Lieutenant colonel expert Khalid Al Falasi, Deputy Assistant Director for Smart Services, said: "Our goal of this cooperation is to achieve the directives of the wise leadership and its aspirations for the UAE to be at the forefront of countries in providing innovative services."
