The first day of the second semester for the academic year 2021-2022, in public and private schools, kicks off on Monday with Dubai and Sharjah private schools will apply the in-person learning system.

The Ministry of Education (MoE) stressed that students of different stages must hand over a negative test of PCR, not exceeding 96 hours, when entering the educational establishment, and that the Green Pass System must be applied on parents through Al Hosn app, to be able to enter these establishments.

The ministry tasked school principals with communicating directly with parents and providing them with all updates on the school scheme and the health situation.

The Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team in Sharjah, in coordination with Sharjah Private Education Authority (Spea), announced that regular face-to-face learning would continue for all students in private educational institutions in the emirate with the beginning of the second semester.

All classroom and extra-curricular activities, the morning assembly and school trips will be suspended until further notice, the Team added. Furthermore, all workers and students over 12 years old will be required to show a negative COVID-19 PCR test result of no more than 96 hours before entering the educational facility.
