The General Traffic Department in Riyadh announced the arrest of a motorist who put children in the trunk of his vehicle while he was driving in the streets of Riyadh, endangering their lives.

The authorities indicated that the driver of the vehicle was arrested, and he will be referred to the traffic authority to apply the penalties in the traffic system against him.

A video clip posted by one of the twitter users showed the children inside the vehicle's trunk as it was traveling on Imam Saud Road in Riyadh, before the vehicle was seized and its driver was arrested by the General Traffic Department officials.

The Saudi Traffic authority said on Twitter,  “We thank you for your concern, and we inform you that the driver of the vehicle has been arrested and referred to the Traffic Authority to implement the penalties prescribed in the system.
