Dubai issued 44,000 Golden visas since the launch of the initiative

Dubai has issued 44,000 golden residencies since the launch of the golden residency initiative for doctors, specialists, talents and the frontline workers.

This was revealed by Lieutenant-General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of (GDRA-Dubai) during a press conference held on Monday at the headquarters of GDRFA.

Recently Indian filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan Kunder became the latest Bollywood personality to be feted with the UAE Golden Visa.

Sanjay Dutt, Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Kapoor, Urvashi Rautela and Janhvi Kapoor are among many Bollywoood stars to have received the UAE Golden Visa.

In July this year authorities have decided that outstanding high school graduates in the UAE will also be eligible get the government’s Golden Residency visas along with their families.

The decision was taken to encourage more and more students to excel in the UAE and, therefore recognise their contribution to the community.

The UAE is giving the ten-year residency visa to best students so they can habour and nurture their talents in the country.

The Golden Residency visa applicants are advised to submit their forms through the Emirates Schools Establishment.
