UAE sees 78 new virus cases, administers 35,116 doses of vaccine

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced that it conducted 317,823 additional COVID-19 tests and detected 78 new coronavirus cases.

The infected individuals belong to different nationalities and are in a stable condition after receiving the necessary care.

All the test were conducted over the past 24 hours using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

The total number of recorded cases in the UAE has reached to 740,879.

Total number of deaths due to COVID-19 in the UAE reached to 2,143 after Ministry announced one more death due to COVID-19 related complications.

An additional 95 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, which brings the total number of recoveries to 735,457.

“35,116 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours,” said Ministry statement.

According to the Ministry statement the total number of doses provided up to Saturday stands at 21,537,698 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 217.76 doses per 100 people.

Expressing its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, the Ministry has called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.
