Massive fire damages 55 cars in 8 showrooms in Dubai

The Dubai Civil Defence teams were able to control a massive fire that broke out in a car showroom in the Ras Al Khor area, Dubai, causing damage to 55 cars that were being displayed in 8 showrooms.

No injuries were reported, the Civil Defence confirmed.

The operations room of the Dubai Civil Defence received a report at 5:28am on Tuesday, stating that a car showroom in Ras Al Khor area had caught fire.

Instantly, the firefighting teams were dispatched from Nad Al Sheba Civil Defence Station as a first responder. In six minutes, the team arrived at the scene, where the fire was found to be massive and engulfing neighbouring showrooms.

They immediately proceeded with the extinguishing operations. They received immediate support from the Rashidiya Fire and Rescue Station, Port Said Station and Al Qusais Station.

At 6:12am, the accident commander announced that the fire was under control without any injuries or deaths, confirming that 55 cars from 8 showrooms were damaged at the accident site.

At 6:53am, the cooling operations were completed before handing over the site to the competent authorities to conduct investigations and find out the circumstances behind the incident.
