The Dubai Criminal Court heard 3 robbery cases when the Dubai Public Prosecution referred an African to the criminal court on charges of luring two people and stealing Dhs174,000 from them in collaboration with other suspects.

The same court also heard another case in which an Asian, 31, was accused of robbing a person under duress in collaboration with other suspects.

In another case, the criminal court heard a case in which a gang of six Asians was accused of stealing electric cables from a Dubai government power station.

The first case dated back to last August when two people filed a complaint in which they said an African gang had assaulted them and sprayed an incendiary substance on their faces before they stole Dhs174,000 that was in their possession.

The second case dated back to last July when an Asian reported that an Asian gang stole Dhs4,400 from his wallet after he was threatened with a stick. One of the gang members was arrested later.

In the third case heard by the criminal court, a gang of six Asians were charged with stealing electric cables worth Dhs3,300 from a Dubai Electricity and Water Authority’s worksite under construction after destroying the external door of the worksite.
