Parents in the UAE have heaved a sigh of relief as the Consulate General of India, Dubai informed that the Indian High School (IHS) at Oud Metha Road, Oud Metha, Dubai, has been chosen as the Centre to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) — 2021 (NEET(UG)-2021) by National Testing Agency(NTA), India.

NEET (UG) – 2021 will be conducted by the NTA on Sunday, 12 September 2021 (Sunday) from 12:30 p.m. – 03:30 p.m. (local UAE time) in pen and paper mode, to be answered on the specially designed machine gradable OMR sheet using a black ballpoint pen. The duration of the test will be three hours. The exam will be conducted as per the NTA guidelines.

The entry of the candidates at the IHS will be administered through Gates No. 4, 5, and 6 (Opp. St. Mary’s Church, Oud Metha Road) in batches starting from 09.30 am till 12.00 pm (UAE time). The candidates are requested to report at the IHS’s Gates as per the time indicated in their respective admit cards. No candidate will be permitted to enter IHS after 12.00 pm (UAE time). Hence, the candidates are advised to leave home well in advance taking into consideration traffic, location of the Centre, weather conditions, etc.

As per NTA guidelines, NEET (UG)-2021 outside India will be held in English only for admission to MBBS/BDS/ BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognised Medical/Dental /AYUSH and other colleges/deemed universities /institutes (AIIMS & JIPMER) in India.

The Admit Card: The candidates have to download the admit card from the NTA website “https://neet.nta.nic.in”. The candidates are advised to read the instructions given in the NTA website and on the Admit Card carefully and follow them scrupulously during the conduct of the examination.

 The candidate will bring only the following to the examination centre:  Admit card along with passport size photograph affixed on it, one passport-size photograph to be affixed on attendance sheet, valid original identity proof, PwD certificate, if applicable. One postcard size (4”X6”) colour photograph with white background should be pasted on the Proforma downloaded with the admit card and should be handed over to the invigilator at the Centre.

The candidate must show, on-demand, the admit card for admission in the examination hall. A candidate who does not possess a valid admit card will not be allowed to enter the examination hall by the Centre Superintendent.  Candidates who do not bring the downloaded proforma with postcard size (4”X6”) photograph pasted and one passport size photograph will not be allowed to sit in the examination and shall lead to his/her disqualification.

The candidates will be subjected to extensive and compulsory frisking and temperature check before entering the examination centre with the help of highly sensitive metal detectors. The examination will be conducted following the UAE Government’s COVID-19 health regulations.
