Sultan appoints Obaid Saeed Obaid Al Tunaiji as Director General of Sharjah Municipality

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, issued Emiri Decree No. (24) for 2021 regarding the transfer, promotion and appointment of a director general of Sharjah City Municipality.
The decree stipulates that Obaid Saeed Obaid Al Tunaiji, Director of Al Bataeh Municipality, be transferred to Sharjah City Municipality, promoted to the rank of director general on the Government of Sharjah’s Special Jobs System and appointed as Director General of Sharjah City Municipality as of date.

On the other hand, the Sharjah City Municipality revealed that it organised more than 1,763 inspection visits to food establishments, barbershops and beauty centers during Eid Al-Adha, and received about 2,360 calls that varied between general inquiries, communications, opportunities for improvement, suggestions and requests.
The municipality confirmed that parks in Sharjah received the public in accordance with preventive measures that ensured social distancing.
The municipality said parks received about 73,000 visitors during the Eid and the municipality worked to provide an ideal atmosphere for visitors to spend enjoyable times.
