Flight diverted back to Maktoum airport after European woman’s health deteriorates, Dubai Police airlift her to hospital

In a humane gesture, the emergency unit of Dubai Police along with ambulances airlifted a European to the hospital after her medical condition deteriorated.

The woman was travelling abroad for treatment.

The air wing swiftly responded to the call and reached the site.   

The family of the woman said that she suffered an accident some days back. They were planning to send her abroad for a thorough checkup and further treatment.

Flight Instructor Colonel Ali Muhammad Faraj Al Muhairi, Director of Dubai Police Air Wing, said that unfortunately, during her flight from Dubai, her health deteriorated. The situation turned critical, and the authorities called for immediate medical intervention.

Col. Al Muhairi said, “The flight was cancelled and the airplane headed back to Al Maktoum International Airport, where the Air Wing team and medical crew were awaiting the patient’s arrival and airlifted her to Rashid Hospital.”

He reiterated that Dubai Police would help all members of the society in time of trouble. They will do everything in their capacity to ease the difficulties and solve issues.

The police have been routinely carrying out specialised humanitarian tasks such as providing ambulance services, search and rescue missions, and road monitoring, and will continue to do so.
